kei Research Briefs Vol.4 No.1 november 2016 big data and the environment authors GAN, SUN-YEONG YOON, SUNGJI SHIN, YONGSEUNG park, young min kim, kyoung min centents 02 preliminary study on environmental health services that utilize big data the recent growth in public's interest in and awareness of environmental health has given rise to calls for improving quality of life. in reponse, the concept of environmental health service has emerged and demands for environmental health services combined width ict have increased along width the wide use of mobile and social network services. while south korea's environmental health professionals are growing more interested in big data, this has not led to actice discussions on their analysis and usage. the purpose of this study is to review the development of environmental health services utilizing ict. 06. a study on the measures for improving effectiveness of the usage on the big data of environmental noises the quantitative and qualitative expansion of data brought on by it paradigm shift has highlighted the importance of big data analysis and prediction. in particular, the abliity to collect and provide unstrucured data triggered efforts to address social issues by linking big data width conventional quantitative data or spatial big data. 02 GAN, SUN-YEONG / YOON, SUNGJI / SHIN, YONGSEUNG 06 kim, hojeong 10 PARK, YOUNG MIN / KIM, KYOUNG MIN KEI Research Briefs are extended abstracts of selected KEI research reports and policy studies.
