Establishment and Analysis of Ecological Information for Environmental Impact Assessment of North Korean Development Projects(Ⅱ)
Ⅰ. Background and Aims of Research
1. Necessity and purpose of the research
oPurpose of the research
ㅇ This study aims to collect information on North Korea’s natural environment in advance of inter-Korean cooperation projects, and to provide necessary data using modeling techniques. In addition, this study aims to evaluate the main considerations for each type of development project in the case of development projects in North Korea.

2. Scope and Content of the research
oSpatialization of North Korea's natural environment, infrastructure, and Special Economic Zones(SEZs)
ㅇ North Korea’s mountain ranges, rivers, railroads, roads, and SEZs were mapped with spatial information. The potential distribution of species, habitat suitability, and carbon storage were analyzed by city and county, and information on the natural environment was documented.
ㅇ Modeling and scenario analysis were performed using various tools and models: InVEST Scenario Generator Model (3.8.0), InVEST Habitat Quality Model (3.8.0), InVEST Carbon Storage Model (3.8.0), Graphab v.2.6.4, and R ver3.14 dismo package.

Ⅱ. Establishing Information on North Korea’s Environment
1. Analyze potential habitat for key species with species distribution models
oTo predict the potential habitat of endangered wildlife in North Korea, we used the MaxEnt algorithm, which can perform species distribution models using only occurrence data. The MaxEnt algorithm was implemented with the dismo package in the R ver3.14. The accuracy of the model was evaluated by the Area Under the Curve(AUC) of the Receiver Operating Character
