o Objective
ㅇ Objective of Current Research
- The Meaning of ‘Integrated Management’ of Fine Dust
oFine dust ‘integrated management’ basically means a ‘horizontally’ integrated strategy that manages all related factors (sectors) in a consistent system aiming toward reducing national fine dust. (The same concept applied to the 5 year research)
※This refers to a research that supports comprehensive management for multi dimensional challenges such as pollution source emission management, regional management, communication and governance.
※However, aligned with the flow of time, in the future, it is necessary for integrated research at a multidisciplinary level to be developed in relevant fields such as carbon neutral policy and health impact.
-The purpose of this study is to understand the demand for the current national and regional fine dust policy from an integrated perspective, encompassing various sectors under the theme of ‘fine dust management’, and to propose and implement a comprehensive policy considering the emission sources, materials, and social costs at a local level. (5th year of a 5 year study)

o Current Status of Fine Dust in Korea
ㅇ Major Fine Dust Status and Condition of 2022
-In 2021, the annual average concentration of ultrafine dust in Korea was 18μg/m3, which was consistently improved compared to the annual average concentrations of 2019 and 2020 (23, 19μg/m3). This trend is expected to continue in 2022, and so far it is evaluated to be coming close to the government’s ultrafine dust target concentration (1
