A study on reasonable estimation and assessment method of environmental impact
This study is to establish various and reasonable techniques for survey, estimation and assessment of environmental impact. This is to prepare more substantial Environmental Impact Assessment Report. This study is the first year of 5-year plan of study, which begins in 2002 and will end in 2006. In 2002, the study is focused on establishing fundamental scheme for preparing Environmental Assessment Report.
In this study, various aspects about assessment principle, range, survey methods, estimation and mitigation methods are reviewed and compiled.
In 'Natural Environment Field', methodologies of survey were reviewed. In 'Living Environment Field', survey, preparation of document, measurements and estimations were reviewed. And conceptual approach and implementation of benefit/cost analysis were briefly tested.
Problems occurred during preparation of documents of each divisions were reviewed and enhanced methods have been explored. In 'Geology and Geography', protection of regionally valuable sites were mainly discussed. Published reports had described mainly about engineering-related properties. In 'Ecology', detailed survey area have been systematically classified, terminologies have been unified and range of scope has been defined according to its inherent properties of each classification categories. Standard for objective field survey have been suggested and scheme of consideration of impact on ecology has been reviewed. Degree of green naturality has been reviewed and revised. In 'Marine Environment', published assessment reports have been reviewed and revise
