The Republic of Korea’s Enhanced Update of its First Nationally Determined Contribution

"To fulfill the long-term temperature goal set in Article 2, paragraph 1 of the Paris Agreement,
which is to hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels, the Republic of Korea declared to move towards the goal of carbon
neutrality by 2050 in December 2020 and has finalized its 2050 carbon-neutrality scenarios
as a follow-up measure. In line with the declaration, the Republic of Korea once again
communicates the enhanced update of its first NDC."
