The Asia-Pacific National Adaptation Plans
Training Workshop jointly hosted by KEI, UNEP, UNDP and GEF with
partners PROVIA, WHO, WMO and UN-HABITAT was held on Oct 20-21, 2016 at the Taj
Samudra Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
More
than sixty government officials overseeing adaptation, specialists from
research institutes and international organization partners participated in the
two-day workshop to review the implementation of climate change adaptation and
seek further improvement.
Participants
shared ideas on addressing their difficulties in NAP implementation and worked
to build partnership for future south-south partnership. The workshop served as
an opportunity to understand how climate change adaptation activities are actually
being carried out in different nations and to discover support systems available
for developing countries.
