The 3rd Korea-Paraguay Workshop on
Environmental Impact Assessment was held on April 27, 2016 at the KEI in
Sejong, Korea. The workshop was arranged for the officials of Paraguayan
Ministry of Environment (SEAM) and KEI researchers to share
ideas on the following topics.
Session 1: Water Use in Agriculture
1. Management of Irrigated Crops. Water Users, Measurement of Water
Quantity and Quality in a Watershed / SEAM
2. Water Use for Agriculture in Korea / KRC
3. Discussion
- Establishment of reservoirs and pumping stations in Korea and their
management.
- Establishment of a large-scale dam in Paraguay.
Session 2: Waste Management
1. Solid Waste and Recycling in Paraguay / SEAM
2. Waste Management in Korea / KEI
3. Discussion
- Waste treatment methods of Korea and Paraguay.
- Used tire disposal in Korea and Paraguay.
- Disposal of used cars in Korea.
Session 3: Sewage management
1. Environmental Information in Paraguay / SEAM
2. EIASS (Environmental Impact Assessment Support System) Considering Paraguay
Environment / KEI
3. Discussion
- Management of charcoal manufacturer license in Paraguay.
