- The 2015 KEI-VASS-RAC-LASS Joint Capacity
Building Seminar was held in Dalat, Vietnam under the title, 'Promoting Rural
Development via Smart Agriculture and Sustainable Tourism in Mekong Region' on
Jul. 28, 2015.
- As part of KEI’s research project,
International Cooperation for Diffusion of Green Economy (II), the capacity
building seminar was held to share knowledge on green economy in Southeast Asia
and support sustainable development by bringing together the green economy
experts and government officials of South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
- The KEI has been working together with Vietnam
Academy Of Social Sciences (VASS), Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC) and LASS
(Laos Academy Of Social Sciences) since 2012 and has held annual capacity
building joint seminar for the dispersion of green growth in Southeast Asia.
This year’s seminar topic, 'Promoting Rural Development via Smart Agriculture
and Sustainable Tourism in Mekong Region' was selected by reflecting the
environment of the three nations in the Mekong Region where agriculture
accounts for a significant share of the national economy. The participants
shared the status of each nation and related knowledge in order to further
strengthen cooperation and formulate joint strategy on a regional level.
