[Climate Change] Adoption of the Paris Agreement by the Conference of the Parties (COP) - December 2015

Leaders around the world convened in Paris, France from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11, 2015 for the 21st Session of the conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate change (COP21/CMP11). Under the goal of keeping global warming below 2 ℃, they agreed upon the Paris Agreement, applicable to developing as well as developed nations. Developed nations have vowed to jointly provide USD 100 billion annually by 2020 for climate change mitigation and adaptation and the progress will be reviewed every five years starting from 2023.
