The UNEP GEO Joint
HLG/SAP Meeting to develop guidance for author teams of the GEO-6 Global
Assessment will be held from January 11 to January 13, 2016 in Geneva,
Switzerland.
UNEP’s Global Environment Outlook (GEO)
assessment is aimed at studying the environmental factors that impact the
well-being of humans in addition to analyzing policies for the objective of
achieving global environmental objectives and goals. Experts around the world
are working together to launch the GEO-6 assessment in mid-2017.
To that end, GEO-6 experts were nominated and
selected in early 2015 among which President Kwang Kook Park of the KEI has
been named as a Global Contributor, Vice President Byung-Kook Lee as a member
of the Scientific Advisory Panel and Dr. Hoon Chang of the KEI as a Global Lead
Author.
