As part of one of its commissioned projects, the Capacity Enhancement and Pilot Project Execution for the Establishment of Marine Environmental Management Infrastructure in Vietnam, KEI visited Hanoi, Vietnam from July 24th to July 28th.

On the 25th, KEI presented project outcomes (brochures, video reports, etc.) and engaged in discussions about strategies to promote the achievements of the marine pollution control sector with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Vietnam Office and the Vietnam Administration of Seas and Islands (VASI), which serves as the counterpart organization for the project.

On the 26th and 27th, as a non-country partner, KEI took part in the 15th East Asian Seas (EAS) Partnership Council Meeting held at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The attendees comprised representatives from VASI, the Secretariat of Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA), and PEMSEA country partners. KEI distributed project brochures, presented video reports, provided updates on the ongoing progress, and explored future collaboration opportunities with PEMSEA partners. Additionally, discussions took place regarding promoting project outcomes within Vietnam, including considerations for submissions to Vietnamese journals.
