Hans Lyhne Borg, a chief advisor from Danish Energy Agency(DEA) and his team has paid a visit to KEI at Sejong, Korea last May. 

KEI with the Ministry of Environment of the Korean Government and DEA has discussed and shared ideas about a direction of EIA for floating offshore wind, a role of DEA in EIA work, legal framework for fishery compensations in Denmark. DEA pinpointed how they put efforts incorporating a conversation process with the industry when conducting a strategic environmental impact assessment (SEA), emphasizing how this process is essential in the overall process of SEA. 

Following up with this event, KEI with the Embassy of Denmark and DEA is hosting “The 1st Global Offshore Wind Dialogue (with Denmark)” on September 16th, 2022. Through the Dialogue, participants will build a collective perspective on offshore wind and share information with hands on experiences on Denmark’s “One stop Shop” permitting process.
