development and structure of GTAP DB, standard GTAP model, and characteristics
of the GTAP CGE model were discussed.
In Session 2,
National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) and Top-down /
Bottom-up Integration ,
the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) was introduced, followed by
presentation on brief introduction, algorithm, search and module issues of
NEMS.

Bottom-up Integration with AIM model , the AIM (Asia-Pacific Integrated Model) was introduced.
Japan’s GHG reduction target and modeling analyses of the world and Japan were
also discussed.
In Session 4, Top-down
approach to global integrated assessment modeling: A standard approach using
GTAP-based global CGE, the joint OECD-IEA modeling project and IEA’s 2012-2013
Efficiency World Scenario (EWS) were presented.
In Session 5, Integration
of Top-down and Bottom-up GHG Model, KEI’s chief research fellow Yong Gun Kim
