KEI-GDSWEMC (Guangdong Province Environmental Management Centre of Solid Waste and Chemicals) MoU

On August 3, 2016 in Seoul, the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) and the Guangdong Province Environmental Management Centre of Solid Waste and
Chemicals (GDSWEMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance
bilateral communication and cooperation, provide better services for the
governments and promote policy and technology exchange, trade and investment on
environmental protection. KEI and GDSWEMC have agreed to promote the exchanges
and cooperation on environmental policy research and management technology
projects and activities for environmental protection.
A workshop was held before the signing of the
MoU where the air quality management of Seoul Metropolitan City, South Korea’s waste
management policy and South Korea’s soil and groundwater pollution control
policy were discussed.
